Job Description

Responsible for lighting, Air condition system, Hoist, EOT, BOP and Lifts in power plant.
Implementation of maintenance strategy of electrical system. Ensure efficient and reliable performance. With availability of critical spares for emergency.

Roles and Responsibilities

1.Ensure availability of critical spare material for BOP, lighting, Hoist, EOT and Lifts to minimize breakdown time and maximize availability of plant.
2.Prepare VED analysis of spare for optimization of budget.
3.Technical clearance of electrical equipment.
4.Prepare maintenance budget for BOP, lighting, Hoist, EOT and Lifts.
5.Ensure minimization of costs through continuous monitoring and analysis of maintenance practice.
6.Modification for system improvement and efficient operation.
7.Planning and execution of BOP, lighting, Hoist, EOT and Lifts electrical system availability to avoid delay in Overhauling work.

8.Ensure zero fatality in plant.
9.Implementation of Safety culture among departmental employees
10.Identify safety observation and Implementation of Hazard & near miss reporting culture.
11.100% compliance of safety observations
12.Safety violation -NIL
13.Ensure compliance of permit-to-work (PTW) system/ LOTO system to ensure zero accident.
14.Provide safety training for every employee/contractor employee by safety dep't.
15.Inculcating habit of Safety Walk, Tool Box talk and DSSR in daily routine.
16.100% availability of electrical system of BOP area.
17.Adhere to Department objective for 100% PM activities in BOP, lighting, Hoist, EOT and Lifts.
18.To carry out Preventive maintenance/ Overhaul as per Maintenance guideline of OEM.
19.Adherence to attend 95 % Service Request.
20.To attend Breakdown in minimum possible of time.
21.To prepare standard maintenance Procedures (SMPs) and checklist as per IMS guideline.
22.Maintain minimum lux level of illumination system in plant .
23.To conduct maintenance of typical system like Hoist/ Lifts through ARC contract.
24.Attend daily meeting with HOD and colleagues to plan day's work and discuss any other issues.
25.Analysis of system to reduce auxiliary power requirement and inculcating habit of energy conservation within office and work place.
26.To perform continuous reviews of electrical systems and provide modification to improve quality/safety/environmental / energy efficiency of system as per IMS.
27.Co-ordination & Interaction with other departments
28.Provide an encouraging workplace climate.
29.Attend 95 SR raised by Operation Deptt.
30.Provide Facilitation to Mech/civil/C&I/CHP department for electrical supply/lighting/EOT/Hoist/Lift/AC/thermography.
31.Attend trouble shooting of lighting, Hoist, EOT and Lifts for smooth operation of plant.
32.Attend & conduct Knowledge sharing (Training program) to develop self/team members. Target- 4 Days/Year
33.Attend external training Technical/Non-technical for development of skill.
34.Facilitating adequate training (both on and off the job) and encouraging the fulfillment of goals.
35.Attend safety training conducted by safety Department
