Job Description
On approval, the Procurement Engineer issues the Purchase Order, tracks and expedites the supply, handles Inspections and delivery to site. The Procurement Engineer also provides assistance in supplier-site co-ordination for site handling, storage installation and commissioning.
Roles and Responsibilities
Floating RFQ to vendors for new material requirement/development
Compare quotations & evaluate offers received from multiple supplies and seek approval on pricing.
Planning & purchase to ensure availability of RM / PM and services at competitive cost as per the manufacturing plan.
Research potential vendors and new vendor development to support business growth plan and aligning them to our SOPs
Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
PO creation for RM/ PMs in time to ensure no loss of production as per business plan.
Follow-up with supplier for materials and relevant important activities
To ensure availability of RM / PM and services at competitive cost as per the manufacturing plan.
Review quality of purchased products
Coordination with user and suppliers in case of quality issue
Vendor Management
Material Management
Cost Reduction Value Engineering, Negotiation
Management Information System Purchase Price Variance and other monthly reports.
Coordinate with the quality and operations department for new vendor qualification, material qualification and rejections.
Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis
Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage of purchased material.
Qualifications
B.Tech/B.E. in Any Specialization, Any Graduate
Eligibility Criteria
3- 8 years of experience
